Implementation of a Multipurpose Measurement System for (Sub)Terahertz Electron Spin Resonance Spectroscopy

Spektroskopie elektronové spinové rezonance (také nazývaná elektronová paramagnetická rezonance nebo jen EPR) zahrnuje metody, které zkoumají hmotu prostřednictvím nepárových elektronů. Jednou z progresivních metod EPR je rychlé skenování, které umožňuje pozorovat kinetiku chemických reakcí. Kromě toho nedávný vývoj vysokofrekvenčních součástkách rozšířil použití vysokofrekvenční EPR (HFEPR), které využívají sub-terahertzové až terahertzové vlny. Tato práce se zabývá propojením obou cest do HFEPR spektrometru s rychlým skenováním frekvencí (FRaScan), který byl nedávno vyvinut na CEITEC VUT. Na začátku je stručně uvedena základní teorie k EPR, následovaný přehledem přístrojového vybavení pro HFEPR. V praktické části je popsáno technické řešení spektrometru. Důraz je kladen na implementaci softwaru, pomocí kterého je spektrometr ovládán a měření jsou automatizována. Následně jsou ukázány příklady z měření pevných látek, konkrétně karbidu křemíku dopovaného vanadem (SiC:V), ftalocyaninu líthia (LiPc) a krystalu 1,3-bisdifenylen-2-fenylallylu (BDPA). Příklady demonstrují schopnosti spektrometru získat multifrekvenční vlnově spojitá EPR spektra a frekvenčně rozmítaná spektra v závislosti na teplotě a orientaci vzorku, a taky spektra pomocí rychlého skenování frekvencí

Experimental Hardware Musical Instrument

The main aim of the bachelor thesis was to design and build a musical instrument that will have a signs of the experimentalism consist of combination synthesizer and sequencer, tuning, unusual kind of controls and its look. At the top of this work is the theoretical introduction to the musical instruments and to the process of generating and modulating sound. There is also written information about parts that the instrument consists of (microcontroller, D/A converter), principles that leads to being able to create this instrument (operational amplifiers, frequency filters, DDS) in the theoretical part. The description of the components is in the practical part followed by the information about the circuits at this instrument and about software solution as well.

Technology cutting external thread

This bachelor thesis is concerned with cutting metods of an external thread. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to described technological conditions and parameters of an external thread. Firsty, there are basic cutting methods described. Secondary, in particular cutting instruments are characterized. In the conclusion the particular cutting conditions are explained.

Production of the cover

The cover is a component used to cover the motor bearing. A material, used for its production, is steel 11 320. Of the possible technologies was selected as the most suitable for production the method of conventional campaign without wall thinning. For production of the cover has been calculated the blank diameter of 477 mm, which is made of a metal sheet with the dimensions 1 x 3000 x 1500 mm. Literary study is focused on the analysis of the technology. Semi-finished product of cover component will be cut in sheet measuring 1 x 1500 x 3000 mm. For forming of the component will be used hydraulic double-acting press CTH 250 from company ŽĎAS a.s. After the economic evaluation was determined price of one part to amount of 62 CZK in series of 100 000 pieces/year.

Electroacoustic Hardware Musical Instrument - Sampler with Unusual Controlers

This bachelor thesis describes the design and implementation of an electroacoustic hardware instrument with unusual controls. The experimentalism of the instrument consist of, for example, parameter control based on surrounding light or parameter control by hand movement. The main part of the instrument is the Arduino development board, which controls the Sunvox modular synthesizer on the Raspberry Pi microcomputer. Communication between the Arduino and the synthesizer takes place via MIDI messages. The software part is programmed in the Arduino IDE development environment in C++.

Low power current transformers

Master‘s thesis is focused on current instrument transformers, current sensors and low power current transformers. Discussion is made on advantages and disadvantages of each measuring principle. Low power current transformers is then designed and manufactured. Manufactured LPCT is then measured for accuracy class. Results are then compared.

Noise against the binary - How women, queer, and non-binary people use electronic music, and synthesizers as the emancipation tool

This practical bachelor's thesis maps the connections between gender and the production of electronic experimental music, with an emphasis on the element of synthesizers, in domestic conditions. The thesis documents whether and how electronic experimental music and synthesizers can provide a more inclusive and accessible musical infrastructure in the Czech Republic. It also builds on an area that has been neglected by historical/academic scholarship and the media for several decades, and which has received more attention in recent years, especially in the context of the amplification of voices from gendered communities. This is evidenced, for example, in the music documentary Sisters with Transistors (2020) by filmmaker Lisa Rovner, which documents the pioneers of experimental electronic music, whose contributions largely underpin what we now perceive as electronic music. The practical output of the work is a series of seven interviews with figures from the Prague and Brno electronic scene who incorporate synthesizers in their work, divided into several categories according to the role they play within the electronic scene.
